Good: my sister has put together a Hannukah advent this year and so far one of the presents was a felted Christmast tree decoration of a European green woodpecker. It’s very good!

Doing: Deep in the weeds of new novel. Have spent several weeks researching lost/local Dutch traditions and so now have become very nostalgic for things I’ve never experienced. Want to eat that Broodhaantje! Want to find the white snake (worm) under the Hazel tree with the mistletoe and gain the knowledge of Solomon! Wanna throw a hayfork at a hill and have the Witte Wieven chase me back home to assure my wife’s fertility. Hmm. Much to think about.
